September 17 - 23, 2018

Pretty exciting week around here; Sean placed 9 out of 18 in his NASA (Class 944 Spec) Championship Race in Austin, TX, I started my new job at Perceptron and the John Glenn Marching Band won first place in their first competition of the season!!  Em was so excited, I told her that all that practice and hard work is well worth it! I am so proud of her!!!

GAH, my name on the welcome sign for my first day!

Day 2, lunch with my beautiful friends, oh how I've missed these faces!

My wind chimes at sunset, thanks again Ma and Pa!! I could listen to them all day!  The tree hook works great Mom :)

OH MY GOSH, the vending system, not enough time in the day to eat all the things!

One thing that I have absolutely not missed...work traffic! It isn't usually this bad though, I think there was an accident or maybe a train!

Yummy!
It was all a bit overwhelming at first...after not having worked in an office for nearly a year, it will take me some time to adjust and get into a new routine, both at work and at home. It is a routine that I am so excited for though! Papers to organize, data to input and issues to resolve, I am so back in my happy place! I have the best people to work with and I am so happy to be part of the Finance Team!!

I'm really wishing that I had a laundry line to hang clothes outside on, hmmm, maybe I'll ask the lawn guy if he can help me with that!!
We also had a water mystery in the basement...no idea where it came from but it made my rug in the craft area reek horribly and it made its' way to my favorite trunk, I'm hoping to save it and make it not so smelly. Nothing soaked through it so there is no damage but it smelled awful! Using bleach, baking soda and sunshine seems to be working!

September 10 - 16

Sean getting his trailer packed and ready to head off to Texas until next week!

Portable ac unit...a must have for sleeping in the trailer in hot weather...funny though that it was 58 here in Michigan the day he bought it!

OH NO!!

All is well and the boys will be to the race track as expected!

Em and I at Famous Dave's

We had dessert first!!

There's always sunshine to be found!

Kaylee, Em and Riley wanted to go wish their band teacher from Middle School best wishes on his new venture as his last day was the next day. Unfortunately he wasn't there :( The girls waited until the end of the school day and were able to go in and visit with all of their other teachers!

Em had a Marching Band clinic on Saturday, they did well and got lots of good information from the clinicians!

The bus ride back to school after their clinic

We met up with Grammy and Papa for lunch at Culver's in Hartland <3

Sunday clouds

Lunch at Sean O'Callaghan's while out running errands

Ice Cream at Dairy King

Dinner of champions...cheddar cheese pretzel bites and California Rolls - YUM!

I pulled all of my work clothes out of my closet...and picked out my outfit for my upcoming first day of work!! Tomorrow is my first day on the job as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Perceptron!!! I interviewed last Friday and got the job offer on Wednesday...I've had several days now to get my nerves worked up and fret and sweat and whatnot...however I am oddly calm tonight and SO SO READY to learn this new job and be successful and enjoy what I do and to be part of a work team again!! Plus, I went shopping for the pair of black pants that I've been saying I needed for like 5 years now, ha ha ha!! WOOOO HOOOO, next week is going to be great!!

September 3 - 9, 2018

Em and I picked 262 tomatoes on Monday, we've still got a few left from last week too!

Spiders sure are artsy!!

Oh my heavens, this smell is SOOO yummy!  Em says, "Oooh, it smells like spooky season"!

Em all set for her Marching Band pics on Friday...during practice she said she rolled down the socks for comfort, lol! She also turned 14 on Friday!  8 more months and she can start driver's training!

Em and her friend Emily in uniform for pics!

Em had a little birthday soiree for her 14th birthday on Saturday - Grammy, Papa, Gpa Foltz and 2 of her besties!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!

Up early this morning, slowly recovering from all the fun yesterday with her friends!!

Sean coming in from the garage, busy day of trailer prep for his trip to Texas on Tuesday!

My barrel runneth over :)

Love my lavender, it smells so good!

The tomatoes are still coming in!

August 27 - September 2, 2018

The traditional first day of school after school photo...I took a few
this year as the sign changes and I loved them all!!

Em's school pics, this year on the left and last year on the right!

Holy 136 tomatoes!!

John Glenn's first football game was on Thursday, thus the Marching Band's first performance!  Everyone did great; band, color guard, football and cheerleaders!  It was a great game and the interaction between all of the groups was so much fun to watch!

My first whirl at breakfast muffins, they were pretty tasty. I put the leftovers in the freezer and they'll make for an easy grab and go breakfast or snack!

Em and I headed out to do some errands on Saturday and when we came out of Target, the Slice of the 80's car was parked next to us...guess what we had for dinner?
It wasn't the fish that was on the menu, lol!!

Em spent Sunday afternoon with her friend Gracie at Erwin Orchards in South Lyon, fun for Em and fun for me because I got to spend the afternoon with Kristin!

We were last at Erwin Orchards with Grammy in October 2007, Em was 4. I asked the girls if they could get some pics with Em in the head holes and in the apple trees, not knowing the exact shots I was talking about, they did an outstanding job getting me some comparison shots!!
2007

2018 - one head over!

2007

2018 - one eye over, lol!

After I picked Em up from the orchard we came back to Kristin's and Em got to have some pool time!
Such a great day!!
