Project Life

When I happened upon Becky Higgins' Project Life, I must say I was totally in love with it!  I started my first Project Life album on December 1, 2010 and by November 30, 2011 I must confess I was STILL in love with it!  I have decided to keep going and have started a new album for December 1, 2011-November 30, 2012.  It is such a simple way of capturing life, it's much like a journal with pictures added.  Since I cannot pass the book around to all of my family and friends (shipping would be outrageous!!), I thought I could share my daily photos with you through my blog.  I may post just the picture for the day or I may post each layout as it is done (each layout is one week), no matter what I do I hope you all enjoy it!!  Just click on the "Project Life" tab next to "Home" and take a look!

Although I LOVE LOVE LOVE Project Life, it has not ended my love of "traditional scrapbooking".  I still scrap "old school" with paper, embellishments and whatnot.  I find that I actually enjoy it more and it is still one my favorite creative escapes.  Who knows, maybe I'll incorporate both traditional and Project Life in the same album!!

One of my favorite holiday decorations!

I love our pantry door at the end of the Christmas holiday, it showcases the Christmas cards we get and is a great reminder of the love of our family and friends!

Our trip to Disney World last month!

11/22/11 Tuesday
Off to Orlando we go, it's Emily's first flight and she is so stinkin' excited!!

Got to the All Star Movies Resort and Em was greeted with a bouquet of balloons as soon as she got off the bus, I was so surprised about that I wasn't even prepared with my camera!!

11/23/11 Wednesday
We headed to Animal Kingdom for our first official day of vacation!
We got lucky and found a relatively short line and ended up getting to see Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore

11/24/11 Thursday
Epcot was the park of choice for our Turkey Day outing...we got back to the hotel too late to have the turkey dinner but we didn't really miss it!

11/25/11 Friday
No Black Friday shopping for us today, we ended up at Hollywood Studios instead.  Em got to meet Minnie, wait patiently in line for the Toy Story ride, meet Mike Wazowski and see the Muppets in 3D

11/26/11 Saturday
We've had so much fun the last few days we decided to stay at the hotel today and just check things out..oh ok, so we needed to do laundry too!

11/27/11 Sunday
Finally to Magic Kingdom!!

Em's not such a bad photographer!

Neither are the awesome Photopass people!

This one just might be my favorite one though!

11/28/11 Monday
Back to Epcot today, we missed out on Test Track when we were here on Turkey Day, heading to get our Fast Pass first thing!  Got to meet Belle, Jasmine and Aladdin too!  Got another nice family pic too!

11/29/11 Tuesday
Our last full day of vacation and OOOH all the magic we managed to pack in today!  Em went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Downtown Disney and got all dolled up like Snow White and then we headed to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  It was a long day and a late night but so worth it, Em got to meet Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Mickey and Minnie. What a great way to end our vacation!

Good Night Princess and Sweet Dreams!

Christmas festivities with the family!

What a great Christmas!

Spent Christmas Eve at my Aunt Caren’s; Emily helped pass out gifts (some of the tags were hard to read!)
Good food to eat, some leftovers to take home and we headed home to get ready for Santa.  Oddly, the pantry was fresh out of ingredients to make cookies so we improvised and left Santa some snowball cookies from a batch made earlier in the week  and a couple pieces of Aunt Caren’s rock candy, the setting was complete with a note to Santa on the white board and some art on Em’s new Crayola Glow Dome!

Em woke us up Christmas morning (at the reasonable hour of 7am-ish) to let us know that Santa had been here and that he had used some of our wrapping paper!!  We went out to the front yard first  to check if the reindeer had eaten the carrots she’d left for them.  They must have had to leave before they were finished because there were carrots stumps left.

We quickly made our way back inside (it was a little chilly in our pj’s!) and started ripping presents open!

Emily was VERY excited when she opened her DS!!!

One of the funniest things Em said that morning, “I asked for a puppy, I guess I got one”

After our cinnamon rolls and everything cleaned up, we started to get ready for everyone to come over; we had Grammy, Papa, Grandpa Foltz, Uncle Steve, Uncle Aaron, Grandma Jones and Dave over.

I hope you all had a great Christmas holiday!!
